Hi, I'm Charmaine.
I’m Charmaine and I’m here to listen.

“You are allowed to be both a masterpiece
and a work in progress, simultaneously.”
― Sophia Bush

I have recently just graduated from my Post-Graduate Diploma in Counselling Psychology and am currently furthering my studies in my Masters’ of Counselling under ECTA.
Throughout my journey, I have been lucky enough to have worked with my clients; all of whom have inspired me to continue doing this work and become a better human being to support other human beings!
My approach to counselling is an eclectic approach that encompasses the past, present and future. I firmly believe that a lot of our past influences our present motivations and behaviours, and my goal is to empower my clients to face what is in their present and work towards a future that feels right for them. Some of the approaches and techniques I draw upon in session include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Person-Centred Therapy (PCT). I am also really keen in learning more about Psychodynamic Therapy and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT).
If it’s your first time trying and entering into therapy, I understand how nerve-racking it can be. I also believe in finding the right fit; and sometimes it doesn’t always work out–and that’s okay. I encourage you to go into therapy with an open heart and mind, and feel free to ask me any questions along the way.
