Events Facilitators

At IASH, we are looking for people keen to help us host events. Some upcoming events that we are planning include:

- Peer support groups (which we call empathy circles)

- Community Events such as hiking, board games and arts and craft

- Topical workshops like our "Kopichats" event!

If you have an idea or particular experience / skillset that you think you can introduce and help lead a group beyond the above, just let us know below too:)

These sessions are planned to be in-person, either at our space at Holland Close or anywhere in Singapore!

Join our Social Media Team.

We are looking for writers, graphic designers and / or story tellers who are interested in joining us to push the mental health frontier in Singapore!

We could really use some help brainstorming ideas and designed posts for our social media account @iash.sg.

Otherwise, we are in the midst of creating new mental health content videos to be shared on Youtube. We do have a small team of volunteers that you'll be joining in this endeavour together :)

And if you've got a story for us to share via a short video on our youtube channel, let us know too :)

Join us as a HEAR BUD.

TO JOIN US AS A VOLUNTEER HEAR BUD, YOU'D NEED TO SIGN UP AND ATTEND ONE OF OUR FREE EVENTS.

This is so that we get to meet you in person and you can demonstrate commitment to a mental health cause okay?

Interested in sharing your time to tune into the struggles of others?

All our HEAR BUDs go through a screening interview. Following that, we'll take you through a 4.5 hour in-person course (depending on your pre-existing knowledge) to bring you up to speed on the concept of Professional Listening.

There, you will learn:

  • Humanistic Psychology Principles (Carl Rogers).

  • Active Listening Skills.

  • What to do in tricky scenarios and ethical practice

  • Techniques from Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)

  • Self-care techniques and practice on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Criteria:

  • You must be 18 years old and above

  • You have a natural knack for listening

  • You're willing to be open about sharing your struggles with others
